The manufacturing of textiles can be a complicated process, involving various treatments and chemicals which can be harmful to the environment, and you. Our products are Oeko-Tex certified, meaning they are absolutely absent from harmful substances and chemicals.
Design
The style of a garment is key to its durability. Our approach is influenced by industrial design and its principles of technicality and functionality: pure lines that last through seasons, focusing on materials, and working on manufacturing details. Our goal is to make the garment qualitative enough to last in time, also ensuring its marks of use give it more character.
High-Quality Fabrics
We work with a selection of linen fabrics, Super soft and remarkably lightweight flax, a material so luxurious it was once only reserved for ancient royalty. We implement different types of actions to improve or ecological and social impact
Production
Attention to production is at the core of our philosophy. The choice of our ateliers for their manufacturing specialties in industrial areas with proven culture of craftsmanship preserves know-how on territories that are strained by outsourcing. It is a social aspect of sustainable development that contributes to society and economy, by connecting territories, industries, and people. The approach of “made by” in which we are engaged is born from this philosophy: on every piece, the name, locality and history of the atelier that made it is mentioned on a hangtag.
Traceability
Our commitment to traceability in our supply chain translates by information requests as systematically as possible towards our fabric suppliers. The transformation steps between the cultivation of the plant, in the case of cotton or linen, or the farming of the sheep, in the case of wool, and the finished fabric, are numerous and complex. We gather the most information we can to develop an enhanced traceability of our raw materials. Some certifications we work with, like the GOTS standard, ensure a good traceability of transformation processes, both on environmental and social issues.
Care
The way a garment is cleaned and maintained has a measurable impact on its lifespan and ecological footprint. We encourage our customers to wash their clothes only if necessary, favouring washing at the lowest temperature possible according to the care instructions, and for dry cleaning, to go to ecological dry cleaners if they can. The advantage of the natural fabrics we chose to work with is that they do not reject microfilaments of plastic in used waters when machine-washed.
